Witty Quote I Have Not Yet Written

4 Steps for Efficient Writing

I write blog posts for businesses in my spare time at Blogmutt.com If you click that link it will take you to my page where you will discover I have published 496 posts for various businesses. This is great, but I have to increase my writing capabilities if I am to continue growing and supporting my family.

That said, I am also interested in the processes it takes to grow more efficient, to continually improve your habits. As a teacher this interests me because I want to teach others to do the same, as an undershepherd in the Kingdom of God, this interests me because I want to feed His sheep, and as a businessman this interests me because I want to  know how to do better at business. That said, I want to record, as publicly as possible, a scientific approach to habitual improvement.

My previous schedule of writing was to try and do approximately 100 words on each post that I picked out for the day before moving to the next post, and so on and so forth. Doing that I did 13 posts last week in 21.9 hours for a total of 234 dollars. Averaging 18 dollars a post and $10.68 an hour.

This week, my planned strategy is to use a more focused writing system. Because of how I started the week, it will actually start in the middle.

  1. Finish Pieces
  2. Pick Writings for the Next Day
  3. Outline Main Points
  4. Write Introduction and Conclusion

This system requires that I do not take breaks from my writing on Facebook, business emails, on this blog, or any other location. I can get up and move about the room and read one of the many books I am reading to give my mind a break.
I will work on Blogmutt between the hours of 4 AM and 8 AM, 5 days a week, and review my results next week.
